Lt. J.C. Clark, formerly of the Gordons, is posted to the Commando on 5th April 1944. He was held in the
UK
with the 1st line reserves and didn’t land on D-Day, finally making it to the Commando lines on
9th June 1944
. On 24th June 1944, Lt. J.C. Clark was promoted to Captain and Adjutant from w.e.f.
12th June 1944
and with the arrival of Lt-Col. Coade on 8th August, he became the Adjutant Officer of the unit again.
